Depuis sa r\u00e9surgence en 2021, le groupe arm\u00e9 M23, soutenu par le Rwanda, s’est empar\u00e9 de vastes pans de territoires dans l’est de la RDC, riche en ressources naturelles, et des grandes villes de Goma en janvier et Bukavu en f\u00e9vrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kinshasa et le M23 ont sign\u00e9 une d\u00e9claration de principes \u00e0 Doha le 19 juillet, o\u00f9 les deux parties ont r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0leur engagement en faveur d’un cessez-le-feu permanent\u00a0\u00bb, dans la foul\u00e9e de la signature d’un accord de paix entre la RDC et le Rwanda fin juin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces engagements n’ont toutefois pas fait cesser les violences dans l’est, o\u00f9 les accrochages se poursuivent entre le M23 et des milices locales affili\u00e9es \u00e0 Kinshasa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depuis vendredi, les combats ont gagn\u00e9 en intensit\u00e9 aux environs de la localit\u00e9 de Mulamba, dans la province du Sud-Kivu, o\u00f9 la ligne de front est relativement stable depuis le mois de mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le M23 a repouss\u00e9 des miliciens et des militaires des Forces arm\u00e9es congolaises (FARDC) pr\u00e9sents dans la zone au terme d’affrontements \u00e0 l’arme lourde et l\u00e9g\u00e8re, selon des sources locales et s\u00e9curitaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dimanche, des renforts ont \u00e9t\u00e9 achemin\u00e9s par l’arm\u00e9e congolaise et le M23 en direction de Mulamba, ont indiqu\u00e9 des sources locales et s\u00e9curitaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les combats \u00e9taient encore en cours lundi aux alentours de Mulamba, localit\u00e9 situ\u00e9e \u00e0 environ 80km au sud-ouest de Bukavu, la capitale provinciale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Les deux forces utilisent des armes lourdes\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0des bombes sont tir\u00e9es dans tous les sens sur Mulamba\u00a0\u00bb, s’est inqui\u00e9t\u00e9 un habitant joint par l’AFP au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone lundi, sous couvert d’anonymat pour sa s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les deux parties n’ont fourni aucun bilan des combats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans un communiqu\u00e9 publi\u00e9 lundi, le porte-parole du M23, Lawrence Kanyuka, a accus\u00e9 Kinshasa de mener des \u00ab\u00a0man\u0153uvres militaires offensives en vue d’un conflit \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus de 2 millions de personnes ont fui les violences depuis janvier dans les provinces du Nord-Kivu et Sud-Kivu, selon un rapport du Bureau des affaires humanitaires de l’ONU (OCHA) publi\u00e9 fin juillet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
