{"id":18180,"date":"2025-05-20T02:42:48","date_gmt":"2025-05-20T02:42:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/africadailyreport.com\/2025\/05\/20\/former-senegal-minister-charged-over-covid-fund-fraud\/"},"modified":"2025-05-20T02:59:42","modified_gmt":"2025-05-20T02:59:42","slug":"former-senegal-minister-charged-over-covid-fund-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/africadailyreport.com\/fr\/2025\/05\/20\/former-senegal-minister-charged-over-covid-fund-fraud\/","title":{"rendered":"S\u00e9n\u00e9gal: une ministre de l&rsquo;ex-pr\u00e9sident Sall inculp\u00e9e pour des irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s li\u00e9es au Covid"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-dakar-senegal-a-special-court-in-senegal-on-monday-formally-charged-a-former-government-minister-with-embezzling-covid-funds-a-source-close-to-the-case-told-afp\">Dakar, S\u00e9n\u00e9gal \u2013 A special court in Senegal on Monday formally charged a former government minister with embezzling Covid funds, a source close to the case told AFP.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une ministre de l&rsquo;ex-pr\u00e9sident s\u00e9n\u00e9galais Macky Sall a \u00e9t\u00e9 inculp\u00e9e pour \u00ab\u00a0complicit\u00e9 de d\u00e9tournement\u00a0\u00bb d&rsquo;un fonds anti-covid et plac\u00e9e sous contr\u00f4le judiciaire lundi par une cour sp\u00e9ciale apr\u00e8s son d\u00e9p\u00f4t d&rsquo;une caution de 87.000 euros, a appris l&rsquo;AFP aupr\u00e8s d&rsquo;une source proche du dossier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mme Salimata Diop, ministre de la Femme, est l&rsquo;une des cinq ministres de l&rsquo;ex-pr\u00e9sident Sall (2012-2024) mis en accusation pour malversations pr\u00e9sum\u00e9es le 8 mai par l&rsquo;Assembl\u00e9e nationale qui les a ensuite renvoy\u00e9s devant la Haute cour de justice, une juridiction sp\u00e9ciale, pour notamment des d\u00e9tournements li\u00e9s \u00e0 un fonds anti-covid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;institution parlementaire est largement contr\u00f4l\u00e9e par le parti du pr\u00e9sident Bassirou Diomaye Faye, \u00e9lu en mars 2024 dont le r\u00e9gime a promis de lutter contre la corruption dans le pays. Diverses enqu\u00eates visent des responsables de l&rsquo;administration pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La ministre Diop a comparu lundi devant la commission d&rsquo;instruction de la Haute cour de justice, habilit\u00e9e \u00e0 juger les pr\u00e9sidents et membres du gouvernement pour des d\u00e9lits et crimes commis dans l&rsquo;exercice de leurs fonctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 inculp\u00e9e et plac\u00e9e sous contr\u00f4le judiciaire par la commission qui l&rsquo;a laiss\u00e9e libre apr\u00e8s qu&rsquo;elle a vers\u00e9 une caution de 57 millions de FCFA (87.000 euros), a indiqu\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;AFP la source proche du dossier, confirmant des informations de la presse locale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La ministre, \u00e9lue d\u00e9put\u00e9e en novembre 2024, apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9part du pouvoir du pr\u00e9sident Sall, doit justifier de d\u00e9penses de m\u00eame montant que cette caution.&nbsp;Son immunit\u00e9 parlementaire a \u00e9t\u00e9 lev\u00e9e le 2 mai pour permettre des poursuites \u00e0 son encontre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les quatre autres ex-ministres renvoy\u00e9s devant la Haute cour sont Amadou Mansour Faye (D\u00e9veloppement communautaire), \u00e9galement beau-fr\u00e8re de l&rsquo;ex-pr\u00e9sident, A\u00efssatou Sophie Gladima (Mines), Moustapha Diop (D\u00e9veloppement industriel) et Isma\u00efla Madior Fall (Justice).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La proc\u00e9dure concernant les trois premiers est li\u00e9e au fond anti-covid.
