Goma, DR Congo –<\/strong> Bagages sur le dos, ils ont circul\u00e9 toute la matin\u00e9e mercredi sur la route menant au centre-ville de Goma, capitale de la province du Nord-Kivu, dans l’est de la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo (RDC).<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Les d\u00e9plac\u00e9s affluent de Minova, cit\u00e9 portuaire conquise par le M23, un groupe arm\u00e9 soutenu par Kigali qui ne cesse de gagner du terrain aux d\u00e9pens de l’arm\u00e9e congolaise, dans la r\u00e9gion o\u00f9 le conflit redouble d’intensit\u00e9 depuis le d\u00e9but de l’ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certains d\u00e9plac\u00e9s ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00fb fuir leur foyer \u00e0 plusieurs reprises, au gr\u00e9 des soubresauts d’un conflit qui dure depuis plus de trente ans, et depuis 2021, des perc\u00e9es successives du M23 et des reculs de l’arm\u00e9e congolaise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Partout o\u00f9 nous allons, nous nous retrouvons dans une situation incertaine\u00a0\u00bb, se d\u00e9sesp\u00e8re Anuarite Nabintu, une d\u00e9plac\u00e9e rencontr\u00e9e par l’AFP sur la route.<\/p>\n\n\n

En s’emparant de Minova, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 une vingtaine de kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 l’ouest de Goma, le M23 qui encerclait d\u00e9j\u00e0 pratiquement la ville, a encore resserr\u00e9 son \u00e9treinte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les positions du M23 et des Forces arm\u00e9es congolaises (FARDC) ne sont plus s\u00e9par\u00e9es que par un \u00e9troit bras d’eau. Au sud-est, se trouve une presqu’\u00eele menant \u00e0 Minova et occup\u00e9e par le M23. C\u00f4t\u00e9 nord, le port de Nzulo, \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de la capitale provinciale sur la m\u00eame rive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cette nouvelle menace, l’arm\u00e9e congolaise a annonc\u00e9 mercredi dans un communiqu\u00e9 la suspension de la circulation des petites embarcations sur le lac, afin d’\u00e9viter les infiltrations ennemies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les FARDC ont \u00e9galement d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 de l’artillerie lourde \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du port de Nzulo et des camps de d\u00e9plac\u00e9s non loin, selon des sources humanitaires, provoquant l’exode des populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mercredi matin, les d\u00e9plac\u00e9s fuyant Minova se sont ainsi m\u00eal\u00e9s \u00e0 d’autres qui craignaient des \u00e9changes de tirs entre bellig\u00e9rants et ont fui leurs camps situ\u00e9s dans les zones sous contr\u00f4le de l’arm\u00e9e congolaise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certains ont trouv\u00e9 des familles d’accueil dans le centre-ville; d’autres se sont dispers\u00e9s dans les nombreux camps entourant Goma, o\u00f9 s’entassent plus de 100.000 personnes dans des conditions humanitaires extr\u00eamement pr\u00e9caires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans le camp de Sam Sam, \u00e0 quelques centaines de m\u00e8tres des camps \u00e9vacu\u00e9s et de potentiels combats \u00e0 venir, la plupart des habitants ne se sont pas encore r\u00e9solus \u00e0 fuir. Mais les visages sont inquiets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Si la situation persiste, m\u00eame les locataires de ce camp devront partir vers la ville de Goma\u00a0\u00bb, s’inqui\u00e8te Kadibanga Batungi, r\u00e9sident du camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ces gens ne peuvent pas accepter de vivre ici avec le M23 \u00e0 proximit\u00e9. La pr\u00e9sence des d\u00e9plac\u00e9s de Nzulo nous r\u00e9confortait, mais comme ils viennent de partir, nous allons probablement tous partir aussi\u00a0\u00bb, dit-il.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le camp d\u00e9j\u00e0 bond\u00e9 a re\u00e7u environ 500 d\u00e9plac\u00e9s de Minova depuis que les violences se sont intensifi\u00e9es dans la zone, selon Aristide Sadiki Bichichi, secr\u00e9taire du camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ils m\u00e8nent une vie plus difficile que nous\u00a0\u00bb, d\u00e9plore M. Sadiki Bichichi. Les ONG interviennent difficilement dans les environs \u00e0 cause des risques de bombardements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Livr\u00e9s \u00e0 eux-m\u00eames, certains habitants du camp de Sam Sam laissent \u00e9clater leur col\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Nous avons laiss\u00e9 nos m\u00e9nages, nos enfants, nos biens. On ne sait pas ce que fait le gouvernement!\u00a0\u00bb, s’indigne David Bonzi, un d\u00e9plac\u00e9 venu du territoire voisin de Masisi, en partie occup\u00e9 par le M23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Nous appelons notre gouvernement \u00e0 nous approvisionner en armes\u00a0\u00bb, lance-t-il face \u00e0 un groupe de jeunes ruisselants sous la pluie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au centre-ville de Goma, o\u00f9 r\u00e9sonne parfois le bruit lointain des armes, une apparente normalit\u00e9 r\u00e8gne pourtant encore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commerces et services sont ouverts, policiers et militaires veillent aux intersections. Malgr\u00e9 les tensions diplomatiques, le poste fronti\u00e8re entre la RDC et le Rwanda est ouvert et de nombreux ressortissants des deux pays voisins circulent dans les deux sens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
