N’Djamena, Tchad – (AFP) <\/em>– Le Tchad met fin aux accords de coop\u00e9ration de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de d\u00e9fense avec la France, a annonc\u00e9 jeudi le ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res tchadien, quelques heures apr\u00e8s la visite de son homologue fran\u00e7ais Jean-No\u00ebl Barrot.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Le Gouvernement de la R\u00e9publique du Tchad informe l’opinion nationale et internationale de sa d\u00e9cision de mettre fin \u00e0 l’accord de coop\u00e9ration en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9fense sign\u00e9 avec la R\u00e9publique fran\u00e7aise\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Abderaman Koulamallah dans un communiqu\u00e9 publi\u00e9 sur la page Facebook officielle du minist\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le ministre fran\u00e7ais, arriv\u00e9 jeudi soir en Ethiopie, n’\u00e9tait pas imm\u00e9diatement joignable pour r\u00e9agir \u00e0 cette information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ce n’est pas une rupture avec la France comme le Niger ou ailleurs\u00a0\u00bb, a n\u00e9anmoins assur\u00e9 \u00e0 l’AFP le ministre tchadien joint par t\u00e9l\u00e9phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Cette d\u00e9cision, prise apr\u00e8s une analyse approfondie, marque un tournant historique. En effet, apr\u00e8s 66 ans de la proclamation de la r\u00e9publique du Tchad, il est temps pour le Tchad d’affirmer sa souverainet\u00e9 pleine et enti\u00e8re, et de red\u00e9finir ses partenariats strat\u00e9giques selon les priorit\u00e9s nationales\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il expliqu\u00e9 dans le communiqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lors d’un point presse \u00e0 N’Djamena, apr\u00e8s un entretien entre le pr\u00e9sident Mahamat Idriss D\u00e9by Itno et le chef de la diplomatie fran\u00e7aise, M. Koulamallah avait conclu en priant la France de \u00ab\u00a0consid\u00e9rer d\u00e9sormais que le Tchad a grandi, a m\u00fbri\u00a0\u00bb et que \u00ab\u00a0le Tchad est un Etat souverain et tr\u00e8s jaloux de sa souverainet\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb sans \u00e9voquer la rupture de ces accords de coop\u00e9ration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
