La contre-offensive lanc\u00e9e par l’arm\u00e9e tchadienne contre Boko Haram apr\u00e8s une attaque meurtri\u00e8re du groupe jihadiste sur une base militaire de la r\u00e9gion du lac Tchad est \u00ab\u00a0personnellement\u00a0\u00bb dirig\u00e9e par le pr\u00e9sident D\u00e9by sur le terrain, a annonc\u00e9 jeudi la communication pr\u00e9sidentielle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Le Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique, Chef Supr\u00eame des Arm\u00e9es, Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno campe toujours aux confins du Lac-Tchad o\u00f9 il dirige personnellement l’op\u00e9ration +Haskanite+\u00a0\u00bb a annonc\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sidence sur Facebook, photo du chef de l’Etat en uniforme \u00e0 l’appui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le pr\u00e9sident D\u00e9by, \u00ab\u00a0multiplie les r\u00e9unions, instruit et oriente \u00e0 l’effet de ne laisser aucune chance aux \u00e9l\u00e9ments de Boko Haram\u00a0\u00bb, affirment-ils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Les troupes terrestres et a\u00e9riennes mobilis\u00e9es pour cette op\u00e9ration sont entr\u00e9es en action\u00a0\u00bb indiquent-ils \u00e9galement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Une observation a\u00e9rienne hier (mercredi) a permis de localiser leur repaire dans une \u00eele \u00e0 l’ouest de Kaigakindjiria\u00a0\u00bb, une localit\u00e9 situ\u00e9e au Niger, et \u00ab\u00a0l’aviation est entr\u00e9e en action\u00a0\u00bb, pr\u00e9cise aupr\u00e8s de l’AFP un officier sup\u00e9rieur de l’Etat major qui a requis l’anonymat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le bilan de l’assaut, men\u00e9 dans la nuit de dimanche \u00e0 lundi par Boko Haram contre une base militaire de la r\u00e9gion du Lac Tchad, est \u00ab\u00a0d\u2019une quarantaine de morts et 37 bless\u00e9s dont le pronostic vital n\u2019est pas engag\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, avait annonc\u00e9 mercredi le Premier ministre tchadien Abderahim Bireme Hamid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Purement militaire et s\u00e9curitaire\u00a0\u00bb, l\u2019op\u00e9ration Haskanite lanc\u00e9e en riposte lundi \u00ab\u00a0ne vise pas seulement \u00e0 s\u00e9curiser nos paisibles populations (….). Il est question de traquer, de d\u00e9busquer et d\u2019an\u00e9antir la capacit\u00e9 de nuisance de Boko Haram et de ses affid\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9 lors d’une conf\u00e9rence de presse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les soldats tchadiens sont fr\u00e9quemment cibl\u00e9s par les attaques de Boko Haram dans la r\u00e9gion du Lac Tchad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette vaste \u00e9tendue d’eau et de mar\u00e9cage situ\u00e9e entre le Niger, le Nigeria, le Cameroun et le Tchad est parsem\u00e9e d’\u00eelots qui abritent les combattants du groupe jihadiste ou de sa branche dissidente, l’Etat Islamique en Afrique de l’Ouest (Iswap, selon l’acronyme en anglais).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Difficile \u00e0 contrecarrer du fait de la mobilit\u00e9 de ses combattants arm\u00e9s, l’insurrection de Boko Haram est apparue en 2009 au Nigeria, o\u00f9 elle a fait depuis quelque 40.000 morts et plus de deux millions de d\u00e9plac\u00e9s, avant de se propager dans les pays frontaliers,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En mars 2020, le groupe avait men\u00e9 une offensive sanglante sur une autre base militaire de la r\u00e9gion du lac Tchad, faisant une centaine de morts, les plus lourdes pertes jamais enregistr\u00e9es par l’arm\u00e9e tchadienne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le mar\u00e9chal Idriss D\u00e9by, qui a dirig\u00e9 le Tchad pendant trente ans \u00e9tait un habitu\u00e9 du commandement des op\u00e9rations de terrain. Tu\u00e9 au front par des rebelles, son fils Mahamat Idriss D\u00e9by, r\u00e9cemment \u00e9lu chef de l’Etat avait \u00e9t\u00e9 proclam\u00e9 par l’arm\u00e9e pr\u00e9sident de transition \u00e0 la t\u00eate d’une junte de 15 g\u00e9n\u00e9raux en 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
